What the service includes
Everything is done on the spot, cleanly.
A battery always dies at the worst moment — a cold morning, in a car park. Rather than having the car towed, the mechanic comes to you: they test the battery and alternator and, if the battery is dead, replace it with one suited to your model, with the electronic coding needed on recent start-stop vehicles.

Signs of a battery at the end of its life
- The starter turns slowly, the engine struggles to start in the morning.
- The headlights dim at idle or the interior lights fade.
- Start-stop no longer kicks in although it used to.
- The battery is more than 4 to 5 years old, especially after a harsh winter.
- A "battery" or "system fault" message appears on the dashboard.
Frequently asked questions
Do you come even if the car won't start?
Yes, that's exactly the point: we come to wherever the car is stuck. We test it on the spot and, if needed, replace the battery to get it going again straight away.
Does the battery need coding?
On most recent start-stop vehicles, yes: the ECU has to register the new battery to manage charging correctly. It's included, we have the diagnostic tools needed.
How do you choose the battery?
According to the manufacturer's specifications: capacity (Ah), current (A) and technology (standard lead-acid, EFB or AGM for start-stop). We never fit an undersized battery.
What if the problem is the alternator?
We test it before concluding. If the battery is healthy and it's the alternator that isn't charging, we tell you and give you a quote rather than changing a battery for nothing.
